The first blooms are out, and of course they are the daffodils. The hint of yellow here and there when you walk outside is awesome. Tulips should be coming on soon as I see most of them are in bud stage. It seems a little late, but every year is different.

Transplanting

Transplanting is in full swing. We pull the baby plants from their plugs and put them into larger plug sheets or pots. This will be their last artificial home for the next few weeks and then they’ll go right into the ground.

To Weed Or Not To Weed

Sometimes a whole bunch of plants grow in one spot and we have a discussion about whether they are weeds (probably) or a reseeded flower from last year.  Usually it only takes two to three weeks before they reveal their true identity.  Then it’s either the hoe or the watering can depending on the outcome.
